Research Assistants


Miracle Liu (She/her) is a sophomore at Bryn Mawr College. She is passionate about team working and making the world a better place through her research contributions! Her research interests are Psychological Disorders, Multicultural Psychology, and Social Psychology. Outside of the lab, she also enjoys participating in Psychology department events and hosting Stammtisch (German Language Table). In her free time outside of work, she likes to playing the piano, watching films with friends, and reading Harry Potter for the nth times! 
Maya (she/her) is a junior at Bryn Mawr College. She’s from Long Beach, California and will graduate with a BA in English Literature with minors in Psychology and History in 2025. She is passionate about eating disorder awareness and recovery, queer resilience, and the intersection between race, gender, and psychopathology. Outside of the lab, she enjoys working at Thorne Preschool, being on the E-board of the Bi-Co Asian Adoptees Club, and being president of the Scottish Dance Club. In her free time, she loves to read historical fiction, listen to the “Holy Trinity” (as she likes to call them haha)- Taylor Swift, Gracie Abrams, and Phoebe Bridgers, watch the same sitcoms over and over, jog, hike, and bullet journal.
Sankeerthna (she/her) is a final-year student at Bryn Mawr College. A double major in Romance Languages and Psychology, she is thrilled to put all her multicultural learning into practice as a research assistant at the GROW Lab. She's excited to start working this fall with her wonderful co-assistants and director, bringing her perspective as a current Psych department DEI coordinator to the amazing work being done. She is most looking forward to studying the intersections of race, gender, society and intimate relationships as they appear. In her free time, she enjoys old movies, kpop, creative writing, devouring books, trying out the local food scenes, on-campus theater, and decamping on the Amtrak to visit her wonderful partner. 
​​Sasha Mikita (she/her) is a sophomore at Bryn Mawr College. She’s from Bethesda, Maryland and plans to double major in psychology and anthropology.  She’s passionate about multicultural acceptance, the effects of growing up in a mixed-race family, the effects of different upbringings, and on queer relationships. Outside of the lab, she also enjoys participating in the rock climbing club, knitting and crochet club, and hanging around campus outdoors at Bryn Mawr. In her free time outside of work, she likes to go on long bike rides, do puzzles, crochet, and play bananagrams with friends. She’s also passionate about fun socks and converse which she’s often seen wearing.
Sara Mayungo (they/them) is a junior at Bryn Mawr College. They are passionate about cultural and clinical psychology and their research interests surround generational trauma within marginalized communities, mental health stigma in different cultures, the intersectionality of mental health, and the causes of psychological disorders. Understanding and investigating the relationship between various social identities and psychological structures and concepts is of great intrigue to them. Outside of the lab, they enjoy participating in Mujeres and Zami+ at Bryn Mawr. In their free time outside of work, they like to read books, buy books and not read them, visit aquariums, collect trinkets, bake, and watch movies with friends. They are also deeply passionate about Wordle.
Cynthia (She/her) is a junior at Bryn Mawr college, majoring in psychology and minoring in art history. Cynthia is interested in social psychology and cultural psychology. She finds herself particularly captivated by the ways in which cultural factors can influence the social identities and behaviors in individuals, and how these influences can extend to broader outcomes, including issues like disordered eating or substance use. Outside of the lab, she loves kpop music, baking, grocery shopping (especially Trader Joe’s) and coffee brewing. 
Jules Powers (she/her) is a senior at Bryn Mawr College. She is from Dallas, Texas and is studying psychology with a minor in dance. She is passionate about developmental psychology and aspires to work with children and currently works for the Friends School Haverford. She is most looking forward to examining the intersectionality of gender, sexuality, race and forces of oppression. Outside of the lab she spends her time listening to Taylor Swift, playing Just Dance with friends and girlfriend, and is involved in / shift / Dance Company. She is very passionate about Peeta Mellark and the New York Times mini crossword.
